How do you like your Rally Twin? I'm about to order one for my SIL as a gift, but I want to make sure there are no problems I need to know about! Her kids are both 40ish lbs, but she is by herself often enough that she really wants this.

I want to order pretty soon (in the next day or so) so any info would be great!

TIA!

I responded to your PM. But I'll answer here too!!! I ended up not getting it. Actually, I think I did order it...then cancelled the order! LOL But anyways, I decided against it due to the small wheels. If/when I do order one, I'm going to get the Maclaren Twin Techno...unless there is something else that I find.

Thanks for getting back to me...Now I have to figure out what to do! Uhg. I DON'T want to spend any more.

Southpaw: If I remember right, you got a Twin Triumph? What are the wheel size? How is it working out for you?

yes, you are right, we have the triumph twin, which is just the 2007 name for the 2006 rally twin. i think the wheels are 4.5". i wish they were bigger for broken-up city sidewalks, but the small wheel size also means more compact when folded up, which was a concern for us.

overall, we like it a lot. it does make pushing two kiddos remarkably easy compared with our previous tandem (graco duoglider), which was like pushing a bus, lol. and the light weight was important since we often carry it up stairs with a baby in the other arm.

i do worry a little bit about it's long-term durability. i worry that with repeated opening/closing/carrying, those long handles may bend, but so far it's been great. oh, and the wheels have begun to squeek. no big deal, a little shot of WD-40 will fix that, but still...

Hmm...With SIL's girls being bigger than yours, I wonder if it is going to have durability issues even sooner. I read some reviews at Baby Bargains and I'm not very impressed. Well, I may have to talk everyone into chipping in enough to get a twin techno from Albee. Unless, of course, I can find a better deal elsewhere. I do need to get a move on because one of my dn is having minor surgery soon and SIL will need the stroller by then.
