I am looking for some advice on purchasing a new lightweight stroller that is great for walking over Chicago city sidewalks. My combi broke and my large buggy is on its last legs. I was considering the Safety 1st - Acella Alumilite Stroller, Maclaren Volo or Triumph, but wanted to stay under the $100 price point. My son is 21 months and is over 20 lbs, so I didn't want to invest in a really high end stroller, but wanted something that moves well.
Any advice - thanks:)

I'm not a huge fan of any of safety 1st products, but especially their strollers. They just seem really cheap to me and I don't like the fact that all of their handles are so low. Couldn't tell you about the maclarens though, they're not something I've ever looked at.

I was just at BRU looking at options with DD. Our stroller is on it's last legs (frame is kaput) and I was looking for either an option for when #2 comes in August or a cheapy temp stroller until I could decide what I wanted. In the cheapy category I really liked the Chicco Capri. It was $59.99 and came in lots of fun colors/patterns. I almost bought it on the spot. I think the weight limit is 40 lbs. I kicked the wheels a few times, but that could very well have been I didn't take time to adjust things to my personal preference and the store was very crowded. The fold was easy, but I think it might have been a potential finger pincher (for me!) until I got the knack of it. Another mom in the store showed me how to fold it and said she had it and was happy with it. The best thing about this stroller is the price since finding anything under $100 is challenging.

I love our Chicco Caddy. It's lightweight and has a carry strap to sling it over your shoulder when it is folded up. It's about $50.
