bouncer seat...car seat...same thing right?

today at publix the car beside us had a young girl about 17 and a baby waiting in the car, the baby was in a BOUNCER seat with a seatbelt over it...without thinking i asked her if she had a carseat for her baby , she said she had one but her boyfriend took it when he left...i gave her my scenera because i couldnt let her drive away and sleep tonight.
now i have to replace that scenera since i use it for my daycare baby , but atleast i know that lil guy is safe! she is also meeting me this wk to get all of miles' old clothes ! she was very appreciative.

I seriously need to start keeping my Scenera in my trunk so I don't feel so useless when I see something like that :(

I am amazed at all of you who give seats away to those who don't have them. I know it is something you feel you have to do to live with yourselves, but it is still incredibly generous.

Once I got punched and knocked down by a girl for confronting her over her uncarseated baby. I was 8 weeks pregnant with Bean the Second at the time.

Holy :whistle: !!!!!!!!!!!!! Who the heck would do something like that? I mean I don't confront people because i'm really shy and i hate confrontation, but to actually punch someone b/c they disagreed with you WTF?!?!??!! UGH!!!!

Not to sound crude, but there was...an...um....trashy element in the neighborhood that I should have been paying attention to before saying anything :whistle:

Threebeans that's awful! I have to say though, I've almost had the 'beats' from an angry lady in the street for suggesting she turn her infant capsule RF. I still approach people now but am really REALLY tactful about it lol.

When I was in Hollywood this weekend, I saw a bouncer seat being used as a carseat. I was walking toward Kodak Theatre and passed a car with a Fisher-Price bouncer (very creatively) strapped into a car, RF I might add. I wish I had had the guts to pull out my camera and take a photo, but I was in a not-so-good part of Hollywood and was a chicken.
