Repeal of the NC CPS Law "personal needs" exemption goes into effect
June 1, 2007. House Bill 61 was passed and ratified by the North
Carolina Legislature March 26, 2007 and will go into effect June 1,
2007. After that date, the NC CPS law will no longer contain a
“personal needs” exemption that allows a child to be removed from
their restraint “when the child’s personal needs are being attended to.”

Detailed information and downloads about the NC CPS law on the
buckleupnc.org site reflects this change.

Awesome! I'm from NC, and I was just reading the rediculous laws today. Now we need to get rid of that "If you don't have enough seatbelts, oh well, just leave someone unbuckled" law.
