Okay, so I just typed this huge post. And then it disappeared. That sucks.
Anyway, YES, I passed! Didn't you get my PM?
Okay, well actually I don't know that I passed, because they didn't score them right then, but seriously, is there any question? Of course I passed. I did the test - 100 questions - in 32 minutes. While thats mildly scary, I feel pretty confident. I think I may have missed 2 or 3 questions - I have difficulty with ALR still. Switchable and ELR, I'm good, but ALR is confusing.
Our local tech invited me to come volunteer at a check next week... we've never gotten along too well, but she asked if I would, and then told me I'd have my own bay, scribe, etc. I don't really want a scribe, but whatever. I guess she'd probably check off my seats, being that I don't have my tech # yet. She also gave me a hug. It was weird. She told some of the other girls that if they had questions, they could come to me, that I really knew my stuff. That was nice.
We did our check on Friday, and we had 3 cars come through our lane... one was a 44 lb 4 yr in a harnessed booster (switched to booster mode), 1 was an ancient beast of a car w/ a 25 lb 13 mo old RF in a 1997 OHS (Century Smartmove) (now in new convertible, RFing) w/ 3 yr 35 lb big sis in a Breverra that exp in Dec. Dad is (now) the Locking Clip King. The other car was snotty 8 yr old - short and chunky - and 3 yr/35 lb brother. Brother was in an Evenflo convertible w/ no stickers, stress marks galore, and the harness, adjuster and tether were knotted together - that was the only thing keeping the harness on him. We put snotty sis in a backless booster, and she was actually happy that the seatbelt wasn't hitting her neck, and she could see better. The little boy went into a combo seat.
I'm excited. Dh thinks its funny. He's taking the next class.
