I'm just curious. Will Ebay cancel an auction if they find out that a seat is expired? Do you flag it under "hazardous/recalled items."

I just saw a FP seat on there. Admitedly it was in very good condition, so I'm sure someone will end up buying it. But the seller says it was manufactured in 1999. I was going to report it, but then remembered the 8 year expiration date on the older FP seats, so I didn't. But still, it will expire sometime this year.

Also, does reporting an item or having an auction pulled get reflected in your ebay user rating? DH is worried that I'll ruin his feedback score :p

We've been talking about this alot on another message board. I, personally, have been emailing high bidders to let them know that the seat they are bidding on is expired. Soem of the other ladies have been emailing the sellers - with mixed results. Most people have no idea! :( I don't know how ebay feels about that. I don't know if they have a policy, I haven't seen anything. One of the ladies has started a petion to send to ebay for them to stop selling expired seats. It's really scary, and sometimes gross to see what people will do to make/save a buck!
