The girls that I watch, their Mom just dropped off the almost 3 yr old. (3 on March) and she told me she just bought S a booster because she is too tall for her second seat in the car. I said Don't do it, she is not big enough or old enough. I said at least 40 lbs and 4 yrs old, not now she is not safe. The Mom was receptive and I think is going to get a different seat, I mentioned the Evenflo Chase because I know my 4 yr old still had room to grow in it. So we will see what happens.

Fingers crossed that she listens AND chooses a good seat. You should let her know that the Evenflo and Graco combo seats are the only ones with tall enough top slots to get most kids to 40 pounds. Cosco/Safety 1st/Eddie Bauer do not, except for the Apex, which harnesses to 65 pounds, but requires vehicle seatback or headrest at least to the tips of the child's ears.

Hello- the mom went straight to Toys R Us and returned the booster and bought her an Evenflo combo, not sure which one as Dad didn't have a clue when he dropped of the girls this morning. So glad they listened, the mom was very receptive when she picked the girls up last night and Thanked my for pointing them in the right direction.
