I have a 2005 Freestyle and am trying to figure out what the LATCH limits are. I know someone else here has one. Any idea? I'd get the manual out of my car, but we're in the midst of an ice storm and I thought someone here might know off the top of their head!
Thanks!
Amy

Ford = 48# lower anchors ... 60# top tether (hard shell carseats) / 80# top tether (lightweight vests)
Nice thing about Ford is you can use the inner outboard LATCH for center install :)

This is true for carseat manufacturers who approve of using the outboard lower LATCH anchors for a center install when the vehicle manufacturer also allows it. :) So far, only Britax and the Sunshine Kids Radian officially allow it when the vehicle manufacturer does as well. Don't want lurkers thinking every seat can be installed in the center of a Ford using outboard lower LATCH anchors. ;)

Not every vehicle.... Some Fords no longer require OK from carseat manufacturer (such as the Freestar middle row bench) ;) But, you're right -- it always depends on the manual!
