Does anyone post at Yahoo Answers? I just discovered it last night, I was bored and searching for some carseat questions to answer. :p

Yeah, I thought it was pretty neat myself. :) I just plugged "carseat question" into Google and one of the first few things to pop up was something from Yahoo Answers. I had never heard of it, but I kind of like it.

LOL, yeah, some of the answers are pretty odd. It made me really sad reading some of the answers to the questions about 2-3yos in boosters. Everyone basically said it was fine because the kids were all 37-38 inches+ and 35 pounds+. :( Well, everyone except for someone from the Kyle Miller Foundation.
Some of the answers are scary! Sure turn your DC FF at 6 mos - their poor legs are "scrunched!"
GRRRR!

I turned my son around when he was 6 months old. Just make sure that you are properly restraining her and that the car seat is in correctly, and you should be good to go.
If her legs are scrunch up then turn her around. That is doing more harm than good. This comes from my Pediatrician. Once the legs can touch the back seat it is time to turn them. Image if you are in wreck you could break or lose both of her legs.
Time to stop reading :(

Jenny - I had to go search for this yesterday after reading this and I am hooked! Thanks! :p
Some of those answers are horrible!!! I haven't found any "open" carseat questions to post on yet. Maybe I'm not searching right.
I have answered several other questions, even got a few "best answers", but I've gotten some thumbs down on a few of my answers about giving a child cow's milk. I've answered 3 questions about that and on all of them told them the same: that 12 months is generally when the transition is made, and that they should discuss the change with their pediatrician first. All the other answers said "Sure, go ahead, they'll be fine". I gave the advice based on my dd's experience, we switched her and she had a horrible reaction - I'd never tell somebody to make a dietary change in their child without discussing it with a dr first. I can't believe I got thumbs down for that!!!
Sorry to rant -- but that is a neat site. Off to search for more carseat questions!

I got voted by the asker for a best answer!!! whoop, got me 10 points! (it was about rearfacing limits in infant seats... some moron answered 25 pounds... unless she had the old recalled sit n stroll, there's no seat that ever went to 25 pounds, right? :P). I told her as nicely as possible to READ THE MANUAL, and she thanked me :D
