So...I have talked about how my MR, or any other seat that I use there, tilts to the side a bit. Here are a few pictures of the tilt. Would you be okay with it tilted like this or do I need to try to fix it somehow??
I would say that this picture is the most level/straight on that I got.

Here is Marcus in the seat

So...do you think it is unsafe like this? I have the belt locked at the retractor right not. I have not tried using a LC with it instead though. I will have to search for my LC to try that though. I think alot of it is b/c of how Marcus climbs into & out of his seat. If it gets any worse then this I reinstall it. Also I think it comes from the seat is SO dented in right there on that side of it where it leabs. It happens with my EFTA right there to. SO....WDYT?? Dangerous or ok??

That would bug me, so I'd use a LC, but it's not inherently dangerous.

Thanks! It does bug the crap outta me for sure. I have been meaning to try it with a LC to see if that would keep it from getting the tilt, I just have not. I just however wanted to make sure it was not dangerous.

Wow, that's kind of a lot of tilt.
I'd probably use a lc.
It's probably not dangerous (is the base still 100% in contact with the seat, or is it pulling off?) but you never know-- I do seem to remember a thread about a Scenera tipping over going around a hard turn... It just seems like a REALLY severe tilt. I mean, it's more than my CA and Radian do in my car, and I thought they were pretty bad...

He is so, so cute!!
It would bother me, too. I decided that if I get another MR, I'd definitely use the locking clip. My install was super tight on the buckle side, but the outboard side the shoulder pulled up the seat, so the base would loose it's compression.
It would bug me, so I would use a locking clip. Did you take the locking clip off the EFTA base?

Yes, it is alot of tilt. However the base is still 100% in contact with the seat. It is just that the seat is compressed quite a bit right there & that seems to be why it is tilting. It also does not move when I turn or anything. It is a 100% rock solid, shake the car install. Just tilted alot.

Thanks! I think so to. So is your little boy btw!

I went & looked for a locking clip, but can not find one anywhere. I took the locking clip off the EFTA base b/c I had a friend that needed a LC for her car but didn't have one. So I do not have that one. The one from my MR is MIA right now. GRRR! I might have to buy one if I can find one.
Nooooo, I can ship you a couple, if you want. I hate to have you buy some when I have 30.

3-4 if you can spare them. It would be nice to have an extra or two on hand for friends if they need them. Plus I need to put one back on the base of the EFTA just in case...KWIM?
Thanks again. You are the BEST!
Yeah, no problem. Won't be until Friday. I have some old stamps to use up anyway, lol.

Oh, heavens, Judi, your package is going to arrive opened and re-sealed after bomb inspection. :p
Nah, that happens in L.A., not Oregon!

The Unabomber was in Montana. (I think?) Just sayin'. They're gonna flag it for all the stamps, and X-ray it and find all these metal things rustling around, and then they're gonna open it under bomb squad supervision before sending it on. :ROTFLMAO:

I would assume that it is teh locked shoulder portion that is doing that to the seat. I would also try a LC
