View Full Version : Matrix rf'ing tether point?
My SIL has an '05 Matrix and doesn't think there's a place for her to tether her Marathon rf'ing. Carseatdata shows '04s and '06s with CPST checked tethered rf'ing installs, so I'm guessing there's a way in an '05. Can someone tell me specifically where they loop their d-ring so I can relate that to her?
Thanks!

I'm not familiar with the Matrix but if the front seats slide back and forth on rails bolted to the floor of the car, you can loop the d-ring tether connector around one of those to provide a tether point - see this video for an example:

Thanks for the video! I passed it along.

She may need to pop off the plastic covering on the front seat's leg like the video linked by the previous poster shows in order to have space to loop the D-ring RF tether connector strap around the front seat leg. The vehicle shown in the video is a Toyota Sienna, not a Toyota Matrix, but it may have a similar plastic piece on the front seat leg. FWIW, both our Sienna and Scion xB (Toyota is Scion's parent brand) have similar plastic cover on the front seat leg that we removed when we used to tether DD2's Britax Marathon or Boulevard rear facing. Fingers crossed it's similar in the Matrix to be workable there, too. :)
