Thank you for visiting our forums at Car-Seat.Org!
All questions on child passenger safety are welcome here; no question is a silly one! Most general questions can be placed in the main Car Seats forum. Specific questions about proper use, installs or more advanced issues may be posted in the
Installation and Technical Questions sub-forum.
Our user guidelines can be found in the announcements and sticky "Important:" posts in each forum. General information can be found in our
Car-Seat.Org Guidelines for Users.
Before registration, email confirmation and account approval, you may be allowed to post messages in this Car Seats forum, but your posts will be moderated. It may take up to a day for moderated posts to appear to the public. Unfortunately, due to recent spam attacks, you will now have to
register to join our community in order to post a question in our other forums and to post without any delays. Registration also allows users to customize many aspects of the forum, access additional features and also removes some Google advertising placements. You must confirm a valid email address and be approved before becoming Registered User with full access. This approval may take up to a few days or more, but should be quicker if you have already posted messages and had them approved. If you are having problems with registration, please see this
example of the final registration page and quiz responses.
To post a message, please click the "New Thread" button or
Click Here. If your post does not appear immediately, it is not lost. Please check back in a few hours or overnight to see if it has been moderated. We apologize for the inconvenience spammers have caused for parents who want quick answers to issues regarding their child's safety. Before registering, please make sure emails from car-seat.org are allowed though any spam filters you use. Please also read, "
Why Did My Post Not Appear?". Note that many accounts that have been inactive for over a year are purged; you may register again if you believe yours was purged. If you have lost your username and/or password, please contact us with the link at the bottom of the page before making a new account.
Advertsing of any type is now greatly restricted, unless you are a forum sponsor; please see our threads on
Supporting Car-Seat.Org and
advertising. There is also a Carseat Swap forum for senior community members, technicians and
subscribers that allows personal items to be placed for sale. Other post content of a commercial nature, including links to commercial websites, will be edited or deleted, as will private for sale/trade/wanted posts that are placed outside of the Swap forum. Members are free to conduct business using the Private Message system, but any public posts resembling a solicitation for personal or commercial transactions are subject to moderation without prior notice. We apologize for the increased enforcement in this area, but advertsments and spam have become an increasing problem and they are now restricted to specific forums. Due to increasing costs to maintain our websites, we have had to make some changes to be able to continue. Unfortunately, a restriction on all forms of advertising is one such change we have had to make after six years of free access to our forums.
As a reminder to members- Please limit any images and tickers in your signature to a reasonable size, especially if you use multiple images. For more information on this and all the new features on the forums, please see the
January 2008 News Thread in our
Announcements Forum. Thank you!
